IV in-line filters are typically used in intravenous drug infusion therapy to protect patients from potentially life-threatening contamination from ambient air, bacteria, endotoxins, or particles.  The 0.2 μm inline filters from us come with premium ABS shell, which houses double high-performing hydrophilic PES membranes as well as PTFE venting membranes. This unique design ensures that undissolved drug particles, precipitates, bacteria, endotoxins, fragments of glass, plastic, or rubber, as well as large lipids in the intravenous drug solutions, are effectively retained by the filter membranes.  Additionally, the venting filter membrane - hydrophobic PTFE helps to immediately remove the air bubbles from aqueous solutions inline or downstream in a fluidic system. 


In clinical settings where sterility is paramount, the performance of infusion filters plays a critical role. When compared against 5 μm or 1.2 μm infusion filters, our 0.2 µm IV filters demonstrate superior microbial retention capabilities. This ultrafine filtration precision enables them to effectively capture and retain >99.9% of airborne germs including mycoplasma, viral carriers and other unintended microorganisms near the lower size limit that might otherwise pass through the membranes and enter the bloodstream, thereby significantly reducing the risk of complications and pathogen transmission in IV administration.
